We run a limited number of week-long hosted tours to Tasmania each year. These journeys offer a seat at the table of some of the island’s best restaurants and some we’ve created especially for you. You’ll taste abalone and oysters plucked fresh from the ocean, feast on cheeses crafted by masters and enjoy globally lauded wines, sparklings and liquors.

With the greatest respect, we beg to differ with the Dutchman who has given his name to this wild and whimsical island we call home. Join us for a luxury, fully hosted tour of the food, wine, and hospitality that Tasmania is famous for. Over the course of a week, you’ll enjoy oysters plucked fresh from pristine waters, wine and libations crafted by masters, meals created to dazzle your tastebuds and a little of Tasmania’s wilder side.
Your tour is hosted by Alix Davis - founding editor of SBS Feast magazine, contributing writer to Gourmet Traveller and restaurant
reviewer for The Mercury. Alix is passionate about Tasmanian food, wine and produce and enjoys nothing more than sharing it with visitors and friends. Her relationships with local chefs and producers have resulted in tours that are full of exclusive experiences and unforgettable moments. Alix is joined by her husband John (JD), who has been an enthusiastic plus-one on her global and local culinary adventures and traces his Tasmanian heritage back to the convicts. JD embodies Tasmanian hospitality and is on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly - and if you’d like to share a drink and a story with him, he can do that too!
